Truman Legacy Symposium: China

This year’s Truman Legacy Symposium: Harry S. Truman in East Asia: Japan, China and the Two Koreas, features many experts on East Asia. One of those is the esteemed professor of history, Dr.  . Xiao-Bing Li is professor of history at the University of Central Oklahoma. He is the author of A History of the Modern Chinese Army (2007), and Diplomacy Through Militancy (1993). Dr. Li has also edited or co-edited three books of collected memoirs, Voices from the Vietnam War: Stories from American, Asian, and Russian Veterans (forthcoming in 2010), Voices from the Korean War: Personal Stories of American, Korean, and Chinese Soldiers (2004), and Mao’s Generals Remember Korea (2001).

Professor Li is a presenter Truman Legacy Symposium: Harry S. Truman in East Asia: Japan, China and the Two Koreas, participating in the panel discussion, Truman and China.
